The Power Trio Projects

  • Snowfest

Held annually on the first weekend in February -- Muskegon Snowfest is an opportunity for the community to band together in the frigid Michigan winter for charity. Headlining events include a "Battle of the Bowls" chili cook-off featuring local restaurants as well as outdoor cornhole tournament!

  • Muskegon St. Patty's Day Parade

The Annual Muskegon St. Patrick’s Day Parade is held in downtown Muskegon the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. Families, organizations, fraternal groups, businesses, marching bands, churches and schools are invited to join in the fun and march in this exciting event!

  • Parties in the Park

Parties in the Park (PIP) is a weekly outdoor concert hosted in Hackley Park, Downtown Muskegon, and is a fundraiser sponsored by local non-profit organizations. This is a venue for our community's enjoyment. The JCI Greater Muskegon Chapter proudly sponsor one of the Fridays each season -- be on the look out for this year's PIP!

Other Annual Projects

  • Paper Bag Auction

Previously named the Brown Bag Auction, this event is as old as JCI Greater Muskegon! Every year, the Jaycees host an auction to raise money for a holiday charity. Gifts range from white elephant gifts to gift cards and merch from local businesses to custom art to all types of Christmas knick-knacks. In 2023, profits raised went to the City of Muskegon Police Department Fund a Family to help purchase Christmas presents for local families.

  • Watershed Clean-Up

In honor of a previous Jaycee, JCI Greater Muskegon hosts an annual clean-up at our boat launch. This event takes place in April in honor of Earth Month and includes picking up trash and supporting our community.

  • Thanksgiving Dinner for the EXIT Program

Every year, JCI Greater Muskegon cooks and serves Thanksgiving dinner to the members of the EXIT program. EXIT stands for Empowering Ex-Offenders in Transition which provides men returning to their community from incarceration at the Muskegon County Jail with intense job and life skills training, education, and work experience. EXIT works to restore incarcerated men to self-sufficiency and purposeful living.
