This event replaces the August General Member Meeting.

JCI Michigan Jaycee Camping 2025

This is an informal weekend away; no formal JCI Business, just networking and fellowship. We encourage you to mingle with other chapters, new and old. Grab some buddies ahead of time, or Friday night and plan a tubing trip, swimming, kayaking, spa time, fishing, sports, etc. Bring your friends, family, and even prospects. We’ll have a “Host site” for nightly bonfires with smores and a Bring-a-dish-to-pass Potluck on Saturday Evening (Hotdogs/Buns provided).

The best way for each guest to reserve a site (JCI host sites are 064 and 065) is go to their website and make a reservation request (River Ridge Family Campground - Porter Township, MI | Reserve your campsite today). Once you select your site, add to cart and check out. Campsites are water and electric, have a firepit, and a picnic table. All rates are based on 1 camping unit and 2 adults per site. Additional $5 charges per adult per night will be applied up to 8 people max on 1 site. All reservations require a one night deposit upon making the reservation.**

Check – in time is 1:00 P.M.
Check – out time is 12:00 P.M.

**There are two rustic cabins and one full service cabin available on site. Rates and details available online at https://riverridgefamilycampground.com/

Community Book Swap - Summer 2025

The JCI Greater Muskegon Book Club is hosting a Summer Community Book Swap! This event is free and open to the public.

Bring up to 5 gently used books from your collection to swap. For every book you contribute, you'll be given a ticket to use toward new-to-you reads. Have fun browsing a wide variety of books, enjoy a drink from Rake Beer Project, and join in lively discussions with fellow book lovers.

Book genres accepted: All genres, including children's and young readers, are welcome!

This year we will have bookish vendors, treats, and a specialty drink available at Rake Beer Project/Overgrown Coffee!

**To ensure everyone has a wide selection of books, we're accepting book donations and distributing tickets on Saturday, June 7th at Rake Beer Project / Overgrown Coffee from 12-2pm .

Bring your books in advance to contribute to a diverse collection for all to enjoy. To set up an alternate time to drop off your books please send an email to info@jcimuskegon.org.

Back for the second year in a new location, join Jaycees to grow yourself personally. A member development event focused on newer members (first 1-3 years of membership), however, all are welcome! Skills such as team communication, building trust, and delegation will be built upon. Beyond just skill development, the event hopes to increase member engagement and retention. Efforts will be made to create cross-state cohorts through the teams and encourage collaboration even after the event is over.

March General Membership Meeting

Join us for our March General Membership Meeting at the Muskegon Community College FabLab, a high-tech makerspace open to the public with a membership. This innovative space is a true gem in Muskegon, providing access to cutting-edge technology for creators, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists.

The meeting will take place on Monday, March 25th, from 6PM to 7PM at the MCC FabLab. Before the meeting, from 6PM-6:30PM, attendees will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the FabLab. This is a great chance to explore the space and learn more about the cutting-edge equipment available.

For those interested in a hands-on experience, an exclusive pre-GMM activity will be offered from 4:30PM-6PM. Participants can create a custom tumbler or coffee mug for $10. You can bring your own artwork or create it while you are there. The FabLab typically works with Canva .png files, as well as other formats like .pdf and .jpg. They also have access to Photoshop and CorelDRAW, which allows them to convert most files or create a new design suitable for laser engraving or sublimation.

Space is limited to 10 spots, and payment is required to secure a place. To reserve a spot for the pre-GMM activity, email Kat Hyder at khyder@catchmarkit.com.

JCI Greater Muskegon is thrilled to be raising money for a good cause - Special Olympics Michigan. The Jaycees will have a Polar Plunge team in 2025 to jump in some cold water, raise money for a good cause, and have some fun! The Muskegon 2025 Polar Plunge will be on Saturday, March 1st with plungers starting to jump at 2 pm on Muskegon Lake with Fricano’s in Muskegon kindly hosting us!

Join us for our February General Membership Meeting (GMM) on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:00 PM at the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local leaders, hear about exciting opportunities within our community, and engage with our chapter's ongoing initiatives.

Hear from guest speaker, United Way of the Lakeshore, learn about how you can be involved in upcoming events, and join us after the meeting at Legend's Bar and Grille for the afterglow!

Whether you're a current member or interested in joining, we encourage you to attend, share your ideas, and be part of the positive impact we're making in the Muskegon community.

DIRECTIONS FOR ARRIVAL FOR GMM:
1. Enter through main entrance
2. Go to the second floor & enter through the only door available
3. Take the first door on the left (Chamber entrance)
4. Take the hallway to the large meeting room and join us!
